Firefox 2.0 kullaniyorsaniz, internette dolasirken karsiniza cikan reklam ve uygunsuz sitelerin acilmasini engellemek icin gelistirilmis bir Add-on: Foxfilter.

1) Sitenin icerdigi kelimelere bakarak, uygunsuz kelime iceren sitenin gosterimine engel olur. (Bunun icin Sensitivity ayarlarindan "Examine Body Content"i sececeksiniz.)

2) Farenin sag tusuyla bir daha acilmasini istemediginiz herhangi bir siteyi yasakli sitelerin icine hemen ekleme ozelligi de mevcut. (Siteleri tek tek ya da toplu elle de girebilir, bu adreslerde kolayca degisiklikler yapabilirsiniz.)

3) Uygunsuz olmayan ama icerdigi kelimeler yuzuden bloklanabilecek siteleri istenirse beyaz listeye alabilirsiniz.

FoxFilter is a personal content filter that helps prevent stumbling onto inappropriate content and block access to specific content and Web sites. FoxFilter also includes password-protected security features to secure settings, access Tools/Add-ons and access configuration settings that YOU MUST ENABLE. Version 5.2 includes a "whitelist" feature which allows parents, library/school lab administrators, etc. to designate a specific list of sites that can be accessed. This overrides filtering and has been requested by several users. Version 6 will provide a new feature that allow preferences to be shared on multiple computers.
