Conversation Pieces For Improving ESL Communication is a DVD designed to materially assist viewers in developing verbal language skills by focusing upon conversational flow; vocabulary development; informal expressions, idioms and contractions; and standard, regional, and foreign accent pronunciation. Nine topical scenes (greetings, food, health, work, shopping, weather, house, interview, and directions) are presented with everyday words related to common situations. Each is then repeated with a scrolling text/audio for listening comprehension. Conversation Pieces combines audio-visual elements with the written word for maximum accessibility for the student.
