Multiple Text File Edit and Replace is a Windows software program that allows you to easily replace text in many files at once. This is particularly useful for updating Web sites that have many files containing the same text to be updated, although it can be useful any time you need to make the same text changes in multiple files. Imagine needing to replace or correct a single section of text, such as Web page background color, in dozens of Web pages at once. With Multiple Text File Edit and Replace, you do not need to open and edit each one individually.

Multiple Text File Edit and Replace will automatically open each file, find the text if it exists in that file, replace it, then save the modified files. It will automatically save a backup of the original file in case something goes wrong. Note that this program will not work on encoded file formats, such as Microsoft Word files. You must simply save such files in Rich Text Format or some other format that does not contain coding to use Multiple Text File Edit and Replace with that file.
