Yahoo'nun Vista kullanıcılarına özel olarak çıkardığı Yahoo Messenger�ın deneme sürümünü test eden kullanıcılar, yazılımın yavaş çalıştığından şikayet ediyorlardı. Microsoft'un en son çıkardığı Windows Vista Hotfix sayesinde artık Yahoo Messenger daha hızlı çalışıyor.
Hotfix tepkime süresini dört katına kadar arttırıyor. Bu durum tüm tabakalı pencereler ile geliştirilmiş uygulamalar için de geçerli. Yahoo Messenger Vista sürümünde, merkezi arayüzü kaplayan seçenekler menüsü ya da tema seçicisi gibi menüler artık daha hızlı açılıyor.
Windows Vista SP1 yükleyen kullanıcılar zaten Hotfix�e sahip durumdalar. Microsoft'tan gelen açıklamaya göre bu Hotfix, SP1′in final sürümünde de yer alacak. Bu arada, bu Hotfix, SP1′i bekleyemeyen sabırsız kullanıcılar için de ayrı olarak indirilmeye hazır olarak sunuluyor.
